Job Description
As an ICT Human Resources team member, you will join a team committed to establishing and maintaining a company culture dedicated to an exceptional employee experience. The Director, Human Resources leads the delivery of workforce strategies and drives the effective implementation of key HR programs, policies, and practices. The Director, Human Resources works in close contact with other business leaders as a business partner to assist with employee relations, coaching, performance management, recruitment, employee engagement, as well as all other functional HR areas.
This position report to Chief People Officer (CPO).
Salary: Starting at $110,000
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages HR department daily operations providing support to HR Managers for any escalated issues
- Support staff‐facing programs, initiatives and transactions in a variety of HR areas including employee relations, internal promotions, new hire compensation, retention programs, ongoing performance management and annual review administration.
- Audit and evaluate onboarding and new hire processes, creating and implementing workflow efficiencies
- Ensures the maintenance records of HR transactions such as but not limited to hires, promotions, transfers, discipline records and terminations
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with Senior Leadership team to develop solutions, programs and policies including the reporting of department KPIs
- Assists in the development, implementation and compliance of Human Resources policies and procedures including their dissemination through employee handbooks, communications and/or meetings
- Execution of transactional core HR processes including but not limited to coordinating and conducting employee orientation, onboarding, certification, compliance, unemployment claims processes, exit interviews, transitional return to work and leave administration
- Attend, participate in, and facilitate employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Oversee the administration of programs and initiatives related to health insurance, risk management, safety and workers' compensation.
- Collaborate to collectively maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and plan ICT compliance initiatives; communicate changes in ICT personnel policies and procedures
- Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff
- Maintain departmental protocol of timely response to employee issues, exhibiting ability to triage urgency while prioritizing staff satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary including participation on committees and special projects
Job Skills
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management.
- Proficiency in understanding and application of HR related laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working in HR system management including the transition from manual to digital operating systems
- Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action.
- Ability to represent ideas clearly and concisely, tailored to different audiences and learning styles, both orally and in writing.
- Experience managing remote teams and offices with high volume recruiting
- Judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff.
- Support and implement excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent relationship management skills, customer service orientation, collaboration and team player attitude with all Customers (colleagues, client families and funding sources)
- Self‐motivated Strategic and creative problem solver
Required Experience and Credentials
- Minimum of 5+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a professional services of healthcare environment
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- 5+ years HRIS experience required (Avature and ADP experience preferred)
